Recently I babysat my friend's little brother, who will be turning 5 shortly.
As we sat watching Cartoon Network an ad break came up. First was an advertisement for a new lightsaber toy. "I'm getting that for my birthday." Another toy ad came on. "I'm getting that for my birthday." And another. And you guessed it, "I'm getting that for my birthday."
Then came an ad about a feature on the Cartoon Network website. "I'm getting that for my birthday." I didn't have the heart to tell him that wouldn't be happening. |
